“As football fans across the world prepare to cheer on their teams, Coca-Cola is happy to offer fans the chance to taste the trophy prior to the competition,” said Brad Ross, Vice President of global sports and entertainment marketing and partnerships for The Coca-Cola Company.

“The true magic of the FIFA World Cup is created by supporters who believe in their teams and demonstrate their enthusiasm for the game.”

Iker Casillas and Kaká expressed their passion for soccer during the first stop event in Dubai.

Kaká stated, “It is a tremendous honor to be a part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-first Cola’s destination.” My first FIFA World Cup as a player took place when I was 20 years old; it was a dream come true for me.

Iker Casillas added, “It was the pinnacle of my career when I hoisted this cup as Spain’s captain in 2010.” And it’s great that same sentiment will be felt in Qatar later this year. It is with great joy that I join you all today as we begin the journey of the FIFA World Cup Trophy to the fans across the world.”

Ghana will receive the FIFA World Cup trophy for the first time since 2014, when the Black Stars qualified for the football World Cup held in Brazil.
